About Friends of Gideons
Friends of Gideons was launched in the USA in 2014. As God was opening more doors for Gideons to reach people with the Gospel message, we realized a great need for additional prayer and financial support. Friends are an important part of this network of believers connected by a single vision to help people come to faith in Jesus Christ.
Gideons are Christian business and professional men who meet certain membership qualifications. Unlike missionaries, Gideons and their wives serve in their home communities throughout some 200 countries. Gideons know the culture, people, and religious climate of those they are trying to reach. Like Gideons, Friends seek to make a greater influence for Christ in their homes, churches, workplaces, and communities while supporting a larger network of Christians around the world. Friends have a heart for seeing people come to Christ and are committed to seeing the work of The Gideons International grow. Friends pray for certain needs of the Association and give as God leads to support Gideons in carrying out the ministry of The Gideons. Additionally, Friends have access to pocket-sized Scriptures that include the New Testament, Psalms, Proverbs, and other resources to strengthen their witnessing skills and maximize the opportunities God gives them to share their faith. Friends Testaments also feature a list of verses related to certain topics in the front and the plan of salvation in the back.

Yes. Representatives of churches, Sunday school classes, or Bible studies can join on behalf of the full group. Multiple individuals from the group can join if interested. Each person will receive updates and access to the full website.
